Ski and snowboard holidays in the Vallnord ski area of Arinsal, Andoora
Arinsal forms the second sector of the Pal - Arinsal ski area and is reached from either the Pal ski area or the ski holiday resort of Arinsal. A gondola leaves the centre of Arinsal and reaches the Arinsal ski area. There is no ski run back down into the village of Arinsal from the Arinsal ski area.
The skiing in Arinsal takes place in a high, long and narrow valley that is above the tree-line. Within the ski area there is a sizeable beginners ski area. The height of the skiing is sufficient to ensure that the snow reliability is good and despite there being little ski terrain to entertain the better skiers and snowboarders, in good snow conditions, the ridges along the valley are good for off-piste descents. Further skiing is additionally available in the Pal sector of the Pal – Arinsal ski region. The Pal area offers tree cover and a more interesting area compared to the valley at Arinsal. Weather can sometimes close the cable car between the sectors but Pal is well worth visiting from the Arinsal ski area.
